Sergio weakens to a tropical storm. At 14:00 hr Pacific Daylight Time (21:00 UTC), the center of tropical storm Sergio was about 1855 kilometer (1155 miles) WSW of the southern tip of Baja California. Interests in Baja California Sur should monitor the progress of Sergio. An east-northeastward to northeastward motion with a faster forward speed is expected during the next few days.

On the forecast track, the center of Sergio will approach the Pacific coast of the Baja California peninsula on Friday.
